HOW TO ENTER: There are three ways to enter: (1) Enter online by visiting www.lgappliances.com and complete the Official Entry Form as prompted, OR (2) Obtain an Official Entry Form at participating retail stores, completing all required information, OR (3) Print your name, age, address, city, state, zip code, daytime phone number and e-mail address (if you have one), on a 3 1/2"x 5" plain piece of paper and mail to: LG Appliances Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 5770, Ellenton, FL 34222-5007. Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01am (EST) on October 1, 2002 and ends at 11:59:59pm (EST) on December 2, 2002. To qualify for a chance to win, your online (electronically submitted) entry must be received by midnight (EST) on December 2, 2002. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by December 2, 2002 and received by December 9, 2002. Limit: one entry per person/household or e-mail address. In the case of multiple entries, only the first entry will be accepted. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Use of automated devices not valid for entry. No facsimile, photocopied, mechanically reproduced, altered or forged entries will be accepted. Sponsor not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive entry information by sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the sweepstakes, or for mail-in entries that are lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, damaged, incomplete, altered, forged, illegible or have postage-due. Entrants need not be present to win. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned to entrants.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to individuals, 18 years of age or older as of October 1, 2002, who are legal residents of the 50 United States (except Florida) and District of Columbia. Employees (and their immediate families and members of the same household), of LG Appliances, Brand Buzz, Young & Rubicam, Ventura Associates, Inc., and their subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter. Sweepstakes is governed by U.S. law. Void in Florida, Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.

PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: A trip for two to New York City, NY. Trip package includes: First class round-trip airfare to and from major airport nearest winner's primary residence, 3day/2night luxury hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy), limo service to and from airport as well as during stay in NYC, one dinner for winner and guest with Bobby Flay at The Mesa Grill and $500 spending money. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of Grand Prize: $8,000; Five (5) Second Prizes consisting of an LG Side by Side Refrigerator. ARV of Second Prizes: $1,699 each; Three (3) Third Prizes consisting of an LG Microwave with Scroll & Cook. ARV of Third Prizes: $699 each; Twenty-five (25) Fourth Prizes consisting of an autographed copy of Bobby Flay's "Boy Meets Grill." ARV of Fourth Prizes: $35 each. Total ARV of all prizes: $19,467. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received. Actual value of trip depends on point of departure, destination, & current airfares at time of travel. Trip must be taken on dates to be specified by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited in its entirety. Travel dates are subject to availability, and a travel agency designated by the Sponsor will arrange travel. Restrictions & blackout dates may apply. All taxes, incidentals & other expenses associated with prizes (such as, but not limited to meals, alcoholic beverages, tips, upgrades, personal incidentals etc.) and any expenses not specified herein are the winner's sole responsibility. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater retail value if advertised prize becomes unavailable. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except as provided herein. Limit: one prize person/household/email address.

WINNERS SELECTION: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted on or about December 16, 2002 by Ventura Associates, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions on all matters related to this Sweepstakes shall be final and binding in all respects. Winners will be notified by overnight mail and will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Publicity Release that must be signed and received by Sponsor or its designated agent within 14 days after date printed on notification or an alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing. If winner is a minor (according to his/her state of residence), signature of parent or legal guardian is required. Minors must be accompanied on trip by parent or legal guardian. Winners will be required to provide all taxpayer information, including social security number, before claiming prize. If prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable, it will result in disqualification, and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winner's name, prize won, hometown and likeness for online posting, and/or any advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation. Winner's travel companion (and in the case of a minor, parent or legal guardian) must sign a travel release prior to ticketing. If winner and travel companion cannot travel on dates as specified by the Sponsor, the winner will forfeit all rights to the trip. In this case, prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing, time permitting. Winner and his/her travel companion must travel together on same itinerary.

MISCELLANEOUS: This Sweepstakes is void in Florida and outside the United States (as described above) and where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Sweepstakes must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges, and warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. Participation in Sweepstakes and acceptance of prize constitutes winners' permission to use their respective names, addresses (city and state), likenesses, biographical information and any statements made by winners regarding the Sweepstakes or Sponsor for advertising and promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By participating, entrants, winners and travel companions agree to release and hold harmless LG Appliances, Brand Buzz, Young & Rubicam, Ventura Associates, Inc., their advertising and promotion agencies and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors, from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Sweepstakes, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Sponsor is not responsible if any prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to Acts of God, Acts of War, natural disasters, weather or terrorism.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN THE EVENT THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS COMPROMISED OR BECOMES TECHNICALLY CORRUPTED IN ANY WAY, ELECTRONICALLY OR OTHERWISE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW THE ONLINE TRANSMISSION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND TO SELECT WINNERS FOR THE PRIZES BY RANDOM DRAWING FROM AMONG ALL ENTRIES RECEIVED, INCLUDING ALL THOSE MAILED-IN.
